South Africa: Wesgro, the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, doing marketing at global level, has proudly partnered with the 12th edition of the Africa Early-Stage Investor Summit.
Reportedly, the event was held under the theme ‘Africa, Built to Last: Capital, Strategy & Ownership’. The 2025 AESIS let you explore how bold capital, visionary leadership and strategic adaptation are strengthening n investment ecosystem that is resilient, inclusive and authentically African.
To support the Summit, Wesgro also hosted an international tech delegation, in partnership with the French Embassy in South Africa and AESIS. As a part of this engagement, the promotional agency ‘Wesgro’ has facilitated a panel discussion with leading Venture Capital funders on the importance of investing in South African start-ups, spotlighting the unique strengths, opportunities and pipeline of high-growth talent of the province.
Considering the engagement, the AESIS 2025 Summit focuses clearly on:
- Elevating the Western Cape as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Connecting local startups with international capital, networks and expertise.
- Driving inclusive growth through tech expansion, job creation and new investment into the ecosystem.

In 2025, AESIS observed its 12th edition supported by ABAN and VC4A. It was held in Cape Town, South Africa on Nov 27 and 28, 2025. It is continent’s premier gathering of early-stage investors, angel networks, venture capitalists and ecosystem builders. #AESIS2025 continues to set the agenda for investing in Africa’s next generation of startups and aims to:
