South Africa: Wesgro was honoured to host the European Union Trade & Investment Breakfast, which convened the city and provincial leadership. It also welcomed the EU Ambassador to SA, the EU Diplomatic Corps, as well as senior business leaders.
Reportedly, the engagement with the leaders demonstrates the commitment to strengthen the relationship of Wesgro with the European Union (EU), as they desire to grow the economy and create jobs.
As per the sources, European Union (EU), in year 2024, invested in fourteen (14) projects with a significant growth in the capex value. Exports from the Western Cape to the EU were increased by 11%, and most importantly, the two-way airline seat capacity between the EU and CPT were increased by 8.4% in 2023.
Furthermore, to drive sustainability, export-led growth and resilience in a fast-changing world.

Wesgro is the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for the legislative capital of South Africa i.e. Cape Town. It also promotes the Western Cape by marketing the destination at global level.
