South Africa (Mpumalanga): The Mpumalanga Department of Education MEC Bonakele Majuba congratulates Dr Zacharia Thulni Nkosi for successfully completing his PhD degree.
Dr Zacharia Thulni Nkosi is a principal of Mlondozi Primary School in Mashishila Circuit and completed his PhD degree in Business Management from Regenesys Business School this year, 2023.
His thesis topic was Management Quality and Educational Outcomes: A Case Study of Primary Schools in the Eerstehoek Sub-Region of Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, which is relevant to the educational developmental needs of the province and especially Gert Sibande District.
A well-rounded educationist, Dr Nkosi holds qualifications in myriad fields covering School Leadership and Management, Robotics, HIV and AIDS, Education Law, Labour Law, Public Administration, Research, Outcomes Based Education, Human Resources Management, Financial Management and QMS from different institutions such as Regenesys Business School, University of Pretoria, Stellenbosch University, University of South Africa, Potchefstroom University and Ndzalama Consultancy amongst others.
With an employment history covering Khuphukani, Lochiel, Warburton, Khulanelwati and Mlodozi primary schools, Dr. Nkosi served in various education structures such as the Mashishila Circuit Task Team and the Gert Sibande Skills Development Committee.
Currently, he serves as a member of the Gert Sibande District NTA Adjudication Panel Committee as well as the Gert Sibande District Task Team.
Dr. Nkosi acknowledges that acquiring the PhD degree is a life-changing experience for him, and he aspires to use his expertise and knowledge acquired through his PhD Studies as an inspiration to the Department of Education and the community at large.
“I will bring developmental changes in the management of schools, in particular the Gert Sibande district, and I will use the knowledge I obtained during the time of my PhD completion to try to improve management styles in schools as I believe in Quality Management.
Furthermore, with the expertise gained from the degree, I will offer training and consulting services to schools, district offices and other organisations. I will also contribute to policy development in the education sector, he concludes.
