Zambia: The Deputy Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander, Maj Gen Oscar Nyoni, has reiterated the Command's vision for all service personnel to build their academic capacities and upgrade themselves in order to improve their capabilities and skills for quality delivery and execution of their duties.

Zambia: The Deputy Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander, Maj Gen Oscar Nyoni, has reiterated the Command’s vision for all service personnel to build their academic capacities and upgrade themselves in order to improve their capabilities and skills for quality delivery and execution of their duties.

Meanwhile, Maj Gen Nyoni has congratulated two ZAF Senior Officers, Lt Col Pual Mwanza and Maj Kwerani Elliot Chizalila, for graduating with a Masters in Constitutional and Administrative Law.

Gen Nyoni was speaking during the second badge presentation ceremony at the Centre of Advanced Learning (CAL), where a total of 107 Defence Force personnel graduated from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in various academic disciplines.

“We will continue supporting our personnel to better their academic standings. I, therefore, urge you to serve as torchbearers for others to know that it is never too late to upgrade yourself,” Maj Gen Nyoni said.

At the same badge presentation ceremony, the Commandant Centre of Advanced Learning, Brig Gen Malama Bwalya, highlighted that the graduation was a clear testimony of Air Force Command’s vision to enhance service personnel’s capacity and academic progression.

He also added that the Centre was developing a bachelor’s degree program in military science and leadership to broaden the scope of courses offered.

107 Defence Force personnel graduated at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in conjunction with the Centre of Advanced Learning (CAL) affiliated with NIPA and the Copperbelt University.

Of the total graduates, 3 Senior Officers graduated with Masters in Law, 12 Warrant Officers graduated with Diplomas in Record Management, while 95 graduated with certificates in Leadership and Management.

The Zambia Army and Zambia National Service each had two students graduating through the Air Force Centre of Advanced Learning (CAL).
