Zambia: The NICO Insurance Company has donated several cleaning materials worth over K10,000 to Kabwe Central Hospital. The insurance company is assisting the government of Zambia in delivering quality health service at the facility.
The donation was made by Chitende Silutongwethe, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the insurance company on Tuesday. He engaged with the management of the hospital during the presentation of the donation.
He explained that the donation is meant to benefit the local community and to support the healthcare facility’s operations.
Meanwhile, Silutongwe said NICO Insurance is dedicated and committed to enhancing the areas in which it operates. Healthcare is one of the most prominent mandates of the government of Zambia for which they are taking the help of many partners.
“In an inspiring show of solidarity and community spirit, NICO’s employees joined hands to contribute towards aiding the vital needs of Kabwe Central Hospital,” said Silutongwe.
He added that the company matched the collective contribution of its employees allowing for the procurement of the essential cleaning agents and tools necessary for the hospital’s ongoing operations.
Meanwhile, Senior Hospital Administrator Ireen Mutambo received the donation on behalf of the hospital authorities. She commended NICO Insurance for the good gesture and also appreciated the employees for their collective effort to do good in the community.
She added that the donation will go a long way in assisting with keeping the hygiene standards at the hospital.
Mutambo has since called on other corporate institutions and business houses in the province to emulate NICO insurance and engage in good cause donations during this festival season.
The people of Zambia have appreciated the insurance company for their generosity. They also expressed their hope that the hospital will benefit from the donations and be capable of providing the best care to the members of the community.
The NICO insurance regularly donates to the organizations to assist them and ensure that the people of the communities have the best facilities available to them.
