Zambia to host Sports Symposium in January 2024

The Zambia Institute of Sports announced the commencement of the Sports Symposium, “Zambia’s Leap Forward: National Symposium on Professionalizing Sports Coaching”, in January 2024. 

This Event is a must-attend for aspiring sports professionals looking to elevate their coaching careers to new heights. The Event is organized in partnership with TAVETA, NSCZ and other prestigious Organisations.

The Zambian Sports Symposium will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 14:00 to 17:30 hrs at the Olympic Youth Development Centre in Lusaka, Zambia.

The Event would include several sports activities and programmes. The Highlights from the Day are:-

1.  Launch of the Certified Sports Coaching Course, marking the dawn of a new era in sports education.
2. Insightful speeches by notable figures, including Elvis Nkandu, on policy updates for professionalizing sports coaching in Zambia, and Prof. Osika Mwaanga, presenting on professional coaching as a cornerstone for sports development in Zambia.
3. Meet top exhibitors like Kwame Nkrumah University, the Zambian Institute of Sport, the University of London & more.

The Zambia Institute of Sports urged people to join the Event to connect and network with industry experts and gain invaluable knowledge. 

Reportedly, the Zambia Institute of Sports is a professional sports education training institute officially authorized by the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVETA) and the National Sports Council of Zambia.

The institute aimed to promote the professionalization of Zambian sports and enable sports practitioners and professionals to acquire world-class professional sports education.

The Organisers of the Sports Symposium 2024, the ZIS, have called all sports enthusiasts and professionals to be part of it. They also called them to explore the future of sports coaching in Zambia, and contribute their expertise to shape the nation’s sports landscape.
