Botswana: Botswana initiates the CSI Concepts through the Desert Bush Walk, which aims to contribute to the fight against non-communicable diseases.

The CSI-Concepts through the Desert Bush Walk contribute to the fight against non-communicable diseases. This is in line with the mandate of the Office of the Vice President who chairs NAHPA, an organisation dealing with the fight against non-communicable diseases”, the Senior Private Secretary to the Vice President Othata Batsetswe said this morning, making a remark on behalf of the beneficiaries of the CSI-Concepts initiative.

Othata Batsetswe further said that the bush walk remains a remarkable initiative and plays a critical role in assisting the less privileged through proceeds raised yearly from the event.

He noted that His Honour, the Vice President of Botswana, strongly believes that for the country to attain its desired ambitions, rural communities need to be developed. On that note, he pleaded with different organisations to get on board and sponsor the desert bush walk as their deeds in rural development and changing lives are visible.

The CSI-Concepts board chair Archibald Ngakayagae submitted that, as an organisation, they managed to donate a tune of P450 000 to different beneficiaries around the country. Beneficiaries include among others Jwaneng Town Council, Karakubis, Mosojane, Letsholabethe and Malatswai Primary Schools, Kareng Projects, Bright Meadows,Youth Unlimited Network and others.

Botshabelo Family and one disabled teacher at Swaneng Hill also benefited from this noble gesture.

Ngakayagae implored the Jwaneng Community to take advantage of the bush walk and provide services needed like accommodation, meals and transportation.
