Zambia, Ndola: FQM Trident has recognised and awarded three outstanding female graduates with monetary tokens and the opportunity to participate in the mining company’s internship programme.
This recognition took place during the 29th Graduation Ceremony of Northern Technical College (NORTEC), themed “Skills Empowerment for Value Addition Leading to Economic Transformation,” held in Ndola.
Violet Tembo (Automotive), Espina Chanda (Electrical Engineering), and Rita Chaampa (Mechanical) demonstrated exceptional knowledge throughout their final year, earning them the prestigious Best Graduating Female awards.
These exceptional young women not only received monetary tokens from FQM Trident but also secured coveted spots in the mining company’s internship programme. The recognition underscores their outstanding achievements during their final year at NORTEC, where they displayed exceptional knowledge and dedication which earned them the prestigious Best Graduating Female awards.
Their success serves as an inspiration, highlighting the transformative power of education and dedication in empowering women in technical fields.
Additionally, Trident unveiled 18 internship opportunities offered to the top graduating students from the following academic disciplines:
• Diploma in Heavy Equipment Engineering – 5 positions
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – 5 positions
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering – 3 positions
• Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology – 3 positions
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering – 2 positions
