Playtime Namibia honoured and awarded certificates to all the Under 9 and 11 players recently in Walvis Bay. The Players were awarded for outstanding participation in the previous Global United FC Green Kick football tournament.
The Award Ceremony took place earlier on Saturday, December 2, 2023, as a part of the Global United FC Green Kick football exhibition. The Exhibition was held at Atlantis Sports Club. The Ceremony was conducted to honour and encourage the young player’s hard work and dedication towards the sport.
The Delegations including, Head Coach Osvaldo Dos Santos and Trustees Sandro De Gouveia and Alex Kirov, were present at the event. They awarded students with the certificates of participation.
During the previous Global United FC Green Kick football Tournament, hosted by the Playtime Namibia, the youngsters from different age groups came together. They also meet the football stars of last year and marked their outstanding achievements at the Tournament.
Reportedly, Playtime Trust, Namibia is a Walvis Bay-based Community Organisation promoting multi-disciplinary sports training programmes among young players. It is committed to fostering sustainable youth and community development through sports activities.
The Organisation has recently honoured its Best Soccer player, Anouk Sophie Blenk. She has a best taken best coaching experience from Germany.
The Youngest Soccer player, Anouk Sophie, shared her inspiration and that her motivation to volunteer stems from a deep-seated desire to explore different parts of the world meaningfully.
Beyond the typical two-week holiday experience, Sophie shared that she wanted to immerse herself in a community, understand its environment, and connect with its people.
“The combination of experiencing a new culture and the universal bond created by sports makes volunteering in Namibia an ideal fit for me,” she added.
Further, while noting her training, she shared that she brings valuable skills to the sports activities here. As an open-minded individual who enjoys working with kids, she has faith in her coaching background and affinity for fostering positive relationships, which makes her well-suited for the Playtime volunteering experience.
