Zimbabwe: Sunshine City Festival turns out to be huge success

The fans have also expressed happiness which ultimately marks the huge success of the fest. The fans were glad with the arrangements at the festival.

‘The Sunshine City Festival’ was proved to be a huge success. The event was hosted by the Tamba Events in association with Braai Out ZW at the Old Hararians Sports Club in the capital of Zimbabwe, Harare on March 30, 2024.

It was a two-day fest and welcomed thousands of people and fans of artists from all across the world. The musical event has invited the country’s top artists considered Winky D, Jah Prayzah, ExQ, Mookomba, Garry B, Bazooker and Etherton, Master H, Bling 4, Jah Signal, Chillspot Family and Killer-T.

The artists have shown their best of all time performances on the stage of the Sunshine City Festival. They all displayed a polished play despite which was a great hit despite of some technical challenges with the sound system.

The artists and organisers both were appreciated for their engagement with the city council and police as they have to maintain peace and ease the flow of check-ins and exits.

No violence or bad behaviour was observed at the fest. The security was well maintained and the forces performed their duties well.

The stage decoration and lighting arrangements were all excellent. All in whole the shows were worth it.

Talking about the festival, the show organizer and Director of Braai Out ZW – Nigel Chinovhiringa said that he was happy with the out-turn. He mentioned that everything went according to plan and he is happy with how the programme sailed flawlessly.

He added to his statement, “I was a bit hesitant in the planning process but to my surprise, it came out nice. We had to change the programme in the last minute to manage the time well and we did it tactfully as this helped us to ease the programme.”

The director added further, “he decided to engage and partner with the City of Harare and ZRP as this was the only way to get rid of bouncers”

Chinovhiringa also said that Bouncers were a menace, as was also noticed in past shows generally. “You have seen how people were flowing at the entrance and there was no chaos and I want to appreciate all service providers,” said the director.

Considerably, the fans have also expressed happiness, which ultimately marks the huge success of the fest. The fans were glad about the arrangements at the festival and have also highlighted that next time the organisers should balance female musicians.
