‘Like That’ song by Kanye West has been blocked and removed from YouTube. The song was released recently on April 14, 2024 and is no longer available on the video sharing platform due to the copyright claims by Sony.
Kanye West’s remix version of the track ‘Like That’, aims at Drake and J. Cole. The move aimed by Kanye through this song has sparked a heated debate among fans, calling out Sony for censorship and others defending the company’s right to protect the work of its artists.
The boomin track with anthemic beat with its new remix version was premiered officially on Justin Laboy’s podcast ‘The Download’, past weekend after Adam 22 leaked it on April 20, 2024.
Reportedly, the track went viral for bars like, “Y’all so out of sight, out of mind; I can’t even think of a Drake line; Play J. Cole, get the pussy dry.”
The lyrics are being considered very vulgar. Ye released the track on his YouTube page, as well as on his website. However, Sony is not having any of it, as the “Like That” remix is now off of YouTube.
As per the sources, Kanye was sharing his disdain for major labels and it has been a part of the reason why he recently began another beef instalment with Drake.
Earlier in an interview, Kanye West has stated that Drake has a rich baby, name as Lucian and Universal. “He was like, my daddy got it. My daddy controls the spins. My daddy got the DSPs. Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucian.”
As of now, only the audio of the song from Kanye West’s account has been turned down. But when you click on the video, it reads that, “This video contains content form SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.”
This may not be too much of a surprise to some people as Sony and UMG had signed ‘Ye’ under a contract and then removed him from the payroll after voicing their distaste for his antisemitic statements.
