Cape Town: The Steenberg Festival Market is back and is soon arriving this coming December. The City of Cape Town is encouraging the vendors to get their applications in.
Applications are open for vendors for the Steenberg Festival that is set to take place on December 20 and 21, 2024 at Allenby Drive Sports Ground. The submission for the applications will close on November 30, 2024 and the stalls can be arranged at R75 per day.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth – Alderman James Vos said that the first Steenberg Festival that was observed last year was a wonderful event and huge success for the community.
As per Vos, now they are bringing it back and are calling on vendors to once again participate in the event.
Alike last year’s inaugural Steenberg Festival, the upcoming market will also take place just in time for the visitors to have fun pre-Christmas outing with friends and family.
Vos said that the Steenberg Festival is one of several City of Cape Town-supported events that offer a platform for small businesses to sell their goods and services and increased their profile.
Last year, most of the vendors who had a stall at the event ‘Steenberg Festival’ said that they would participate again. Considering this, Alderman James Vos said that he encouraged them and other vendors to take advantage of the opportunity.
