South Africa: The nation is all set to host Africa Children’s Summit 2025 that will be observed from April 04 to 07, 2025. The three-days event is ready to welcome 1300 young voices from all backgrounds shaping the future of the continent.
Reportedly, the 2025 Summit will be observed at Parktown, Johannesburg. It has created a safe platform for African Children’s voices, empowering them to directly influence the development of policies for a brighter tomorrow.
Africa Children’s Summit 2025
This year, South Africa has been selected as the location for the annual Summit, with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) as the lead Civil Society Organisation.
NMCF is committed to ensure that the ACS 2025 takes place in April 2025 in South Africa and that the children lead in all aspects of planning for executing and following up on progress after the conference.
To this, the official proposal illustrates the urgency of the requisite sign-offs, considering the intention to host a regional Summit over the envisioned period from the 4th to 7th of April 2025.

Beginning of ACS
The very first ACS was held in Nairobi, Kenya on April 10 to 12, 2023. There more than 300 children from across the continent convened for the child-led conference to facilitate dialogue between policymakers and children.
The children shared and discussed the challenges compromising child well-being in Africa. these challenges will include climate change, environmental neglect, limited opportunities for child participation, violence against children, inadequate education, hunger, inadequate access to health services, online safety risks and unfriendly justice systems.
