The Kenya Faith Writers Network hosted an annual Book Festival Yesterday (Friday), November 24th, 2023. The Event took place at the CITAM Valley Road, Nairobi, from 11 am to 6 pm. The book festival was open to all enthusiasts and did not have an entry fee.
This Book Festival brought together various writers, readers, publishers and enthusiasts from Kenya and beyond. The Kenya Faith Writers Network welcomed many famous guest writers and provided the facility for their customers to get their books autographed.
Several delegations also attended the Festival, including the chief guest, Dynisious Kiambi, MD of Lawafrica Publishing LTD, and Chairman of Kenya Faith Writers Network, Gilbert Angana.
This Book Festival encompassed several activities, including:
Book launch for KFWN authors
Speeches by guest speakers
Exhibition and autographing of books by authors
Exhibition of services by publishers, booksellers and other players in the industry
The Nairobi-based Digital Creator and Former President at Chosen Children of Promise, Nicholas Olouch’s Book, “Transformation Revealed,” was also seen during the Event. The writer felt honoured to get the opportunity to have his writings showcased through this festival.
Some popular books, including 21 WARFARE TIPS IN LIFE’S THEATRE’ and seven others published by KFWN authors, were also exhibited during the Festival.
21 WARFARE TIPS IN LIFE’S THEATRE, by Anne Mbotela, is written with a touch of theatre. The aim of this form of presentation is to assert that life is often a stage that one navigates. The Book carries real-life episodes from the author and Warfare tips from God’s word.
Another book, Positioning of Change by well-known author and CEO founder of Virtue Plus, Rose Kainda, was also displayed. Her Book provides a systematic plan and guidance to change intentionally and lead successful transitions from one season to another.
Lydia Chola Waiyaki’s book Eternity, which is based on providing insights about life illusions and about life and the afterlife, was also seen. In her book, she uses the word of God, personal experiences, and supernatural experiences to answer questions about eternity.
