Botswana: The government of Botswana has recently concluded the Job Creation and Investment Climate (JCIC) Programme. The aim of the programme is to enhanced the reputation of the nation as a competitive business destination.
The aim of the organization and improve its business environment. During a media briefing in Gaborone, Minister of Trade and Industry (MTI) Mmusi Kgafela discussed about the aim of the programme.
The Minister was a part of the initiative and extended his support to the organization.
The leader announced that the initiative is being hosted under the European Union funded the program with €5 million. He emphasised that the Job Creation and Investment Climate (JCIC) Programme’s objectives align with both Government and Ministry priorities.
The Minister and his team have been working hard to createmore jobs and career opportunities to the leaders. He highlighted that the youngsters of the nation will also get the opportunity to make a living out of their talents and educational achievements.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry have shared several images from the programme on their social media. The Ministry also organized a press conference marking the closure of the programme on their social media.
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Mmusi Kgafela and the Ambassador to the European Union Delegation to Botswana and SADC, Petra Pereyra officiated the press conference.
He said, the program aims to develop and refine the business climate and investment environment of Botswana. The programme touched on several topics, which would serve as an impactful way to meet the goals laid down by the government.

Kgafela underscored the significance of the tourism sector for Botswana, highlighting its potential to create jobs and diversify the economy, as well as its benefits to local communities. He praised the JCIC for its positive impact on the tourism industry, particularly at the grassroots level.
Additionally, the JCIC has fostered stronger public-private dialogues and enhanced collaboration among key stakeholders. The MTI, along with the Ministry of Communication, Knowledge and Technology (MCKT) and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET), has benefited from the program’s initiatives
