In line with the collaboration with the ministry, Greater Gaborone DHMT has also signed up for collaboration with the Botswana Red Cross Society and has just concluded a successful capacity-building workshop. The event was attended by 127 community health workers dedicated to the service of the country.

This training was designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively mobilize communities during Child Health Days, which will be running under the inspiring theme, “The Big Catch Up.”

Our amazing community health workers in greater Gaborone will actively engage with parents and caregivers, encouraging them to bring their children under 5 to the nearest health facility for child health services. Together, we can provide these children with high-impact interventions that will improve their health and well-being.

The organization urge parents all across the country to join us in this important initiative and ensure that their children receive the same life-changing benefits. Let’s work together to give every child in Botswana a healthy and bright future!

The people of Botswana appreciated the Botswana Red Cross Society for the initiative. Some people have also volunteered their time and services for the initiative. They believe that the training programme and child health days will help the volunteers learn a lot.

Talking about the training programme and the preparation, the Botswana Red Cross Society social media user Basupi Wada appreciated the organization for their work: The party is holding it tight
