A survey of considering more than 1500 members i.e. British travellers ranked their experiences in cities outside Europe over the past year and Cape Town took over the crown. Over 2500 destinations were rated across seven measures: food and drink, accommodation, cultural and tourist attractions, shopping, ease of getting around, lack of crowds and value for money.
Cape Town continues to lead the globe with another accolade as the city was recently ranked No. 1 by the Time Out Magazine as the Best City in the World. These latest wins reaffirmed that Cape Town is not just a top destination but is the place to travel in 2025.
The unbeatable mix of adventure, culture and affordability of Cape Town outshone all others including hotspots such as Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai and Los Angeles.
Rory Boland, the Travel Editor, summed it up and commended that Cape Town stands out and said as, “Some travel cities are one-trick ponies, but the standout destinations in this year’s survey have it all, each offering unique cultural sights, top-class food and drink, and even sublime scenery.”
