South Africa: Department of Employment and Labour will host the first Annual Employment Equity (EE) roadshow next week. The event will form a part of a series of roadshows which are scheduled for the next few weeks.

The department is organizing the roadshow in partnership with the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA). The CCMA has been a longtime partner of the department and supported many ventures of the department over the years.

The officials have shared the image sharing the details of roadshow event. The roadshow aims to work on bringing together the people of South Africa on various issues of importance.

The roadshow will feature workshops to ensure that the employers and employees are educated on fair treatment and non-discrimination of employees on various issues.

The first of the workshops will serve to improve the employers perception to managing equality in various aspects. The employers should prevent discrimination on the basis of racial, gender and disability

The workshop will be held in North West Province in Klerksdorp on 06 August 2024. Further, the Rio Hotel Casino – Rio Boulevard, Freemanville will serve as the venue for the event.

The workshop will also be hosted and in Rustenburg on 07 August 2024 at the Orion Hotel.

The theme for the 2024 Employment Equity workshops is the “Bridging the Equity Gap Through Diversity & Inclusion”.

The series of workshops/roadshows will start next week and will end on 18 September 2024.
