Dominica: Isaiah Thomas Secondary School defeats North East Comprehensive School by 4-1

Dominica: Only one of the three matches scheduled yesterday, Monday, 16 January 2023, was played in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition, in which the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School defeated the North East Comprehensive School by four goals to 1 in the U20 division.

Dominica: Only one of the three matches scheduled yesterday, Monday, 16 January 2023, was played in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition, in which the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School defeated the North East Comprehensive School by four goals to 1 in the U20 division.

Scoring for Isaiah Thomas Secondary school were Evamslo Estivern, Terkquante Woodman, Jordan Andrew and Phillip Mathew, with one goal each.

Tyrese Carbon scored the lone goal for the North East Comprehensive School. The U15 game between Isaiah Thomas Secondary School and the North East Comprehensive School was called off by North East Comprehensive.

The U20 Division match between the Dominica State College and the Pierre Charles Secondary was also forfeited by the Dominica State College.

Yesterday the results of Secondary School Netball games were “low scores encounters at Castle Bruce and CHS ground while at Portsmouth, PSS and Academix dominated.

At Castle Bruce :

Convent High School B defeated Castle Bruce Secondary in an Under -16 match, 11 – 8. Monique Edwards, 3, Stephy Laville, 6, and Tanya Timothy, 2, scored for CHS. Celina Winston, six and Dian Augustine, 2, scored for CBSS.

At CHS Grounds :

In the Under 16 division –

  • Match 1 – Wesley High School 8 to Goodwill Secondary School 1
  • Match 2 – North East Comprehensive School B 5 to Orion Academy 0.

At Portsmouth ;

In the Under 16 division – Portsmouth Secondary School 29 to St.Johns Academy 4. Scorers for PSS were Jewel Benjamin, 13, Talitha Stewart, 2, and Lemyah Forde, 14.

For SJA, Tiana Victor 2, Stacy Henry and Jaydera Prince 1 each. In the Under 20 division, Academix defeated Dominica Grammar School 38 to 7.

Scorers for Academix were Nyoka James, 19, Rohena Paul, 14, and Maurism Andrew, 5. For DGS, the scorers were Nyabelle Pacquette, 3, Rochelle Marshall, three and Akeelah Daisy, 1.

Prior to the matches, a number of schools were presented with netballs, compliments of the Sports Division.
