Dominica: Melissa Skerrit, the Housing Minister of Dominica, recently visited students from her National Assessment Champions class to offer encouragement and provide necessary supplies for their upcoming exams. She also gave them some treats. Minister Skerrit wished the students luck with their exams.

According to Melissa Skerrit, “I feel proud to say that the beginning of this programme started three years ago, and several students of the island got scholarships, and this year’s criteria is also the same, and our national champions are ready and very confident to ace.” She also wished students good luck with their upcoming exams.

Housing Minister of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit, started the National Assessment Champions Programme three years ago, and this programme has consistently had a student who held a position in the top ten scholars islandwide.

However, this programme is available only for the Grade 6 students and all preparations are always done under teacher Catherine Robinson’s supervision.

There is no doubt that Melissa Skerrit did a lot for Dominicans, especially for the youth, because she believes that youth is the future of the country, and only they will bring advancements in the nation. She said she is proud of all these young minds and looking forward to seeing them thrive.

This year preparations for the National Assessment Champions Programme started on March 1, and since then, students have been studying hard in order to secure scholarships. Residents and their parents are trying hard to motivate the students and several citizens also send good wishes to them through social media.
