Cameroon: The President of the National Football Team of Cameroon, ‘FECAFOOT’ Samuel Eto’o, has honoured captain Vincent Aboubakar. The president and former football player has recognised Aboubakar with a symbolic jersey that marks his 102 caps with the Indomitable Lions.
Reportedly, the president of Indomitable Lions, Samuel Eto’o and the captain of the team, Vincent Aboubakar, were teammates before Eto’o took retirement.
Being team-mates, the soccer players have played several matches together which also included the World Cup matches played in the year 2010 and 2014.
Vincent Aboubakar received the jersey as a gift on his birthday. The Indomitable Lions has also shared a video regarding the same on their official social media page.
While sharing the video, they wrote, “For his birthday, Aboubakar Vincent received a special jersey from the President of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o, which wears his current number of selections with Cameroon: 102, at Bouake in Cote d’Ivoire.”
The FECAFOOT team has also shared the video separately on their official social media page, to which many Fecafoot fans and supporters of the team filled the comment section with positive reactions.
