Good job, Gaborone City Council. As a resident of Gaborone, I can see your efforts and appreciate them. I’m just worried that you will be removing the soil and other debris and putting it right next to the stormwater drainage.

The social media user has also shared some advice with the officials of the Gaborone District Disaster Management committee.

He stated, “By the end of the rainy season, the same soil will be right back where it was. This means that every year, you are technically doing the same thing and yet expecting different results.”

He said, I am no engineer, but if I was the one doing it, common sense dictates that I should at least spread the soil a little bit further. The authorities pile the soil right on the edge of the road, and before the end of the week, the same soil is back on the road.
