South Africa, Juba – Governor Lt Gen Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang on Friday met in the State Coordination Office with the Panyijiar County SPLM Caucus and political leaders to discuss the general security and humanitarian situation of Panyijiar County.
The meeting emphasized political turmoil in Panyijiar County and the detention of the Panyijiar SPLM Secretary, and the way forward to forge peace and unity among the people of the Nyuong community.
The Panyijiar County SPLM Caucus and political leaders expressed their wider views to Governor Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang on how to address the political deadlock between the Panyijiar County commissioner and Panyijiar County SPLM Caucus.
Governor Hon. Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang applauded Panyijiar County SPLM Caucus and political leaders for demonstrating profound leadership based on political dialogue as the ultimate way to resolve the political crisis. Governor Manytuil reiterated the commitment of his administration to restore back political stability and peace in Panyijiar County.
Governor Lt Gen Dr Joseph Manytuil urged Panyijiar County SPLM Caucus and political leaders to put the interest of Panyijiar’s people first as obligations, enshrined in SPLM objectives that we should work for peace, unity and progress of our people.
Governor Manytuil further said that “he would meet the Panyijiar County commissioner to listen to his view and on how to resolve the political deadlock between parties during the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
In attendance was Cde. Samaan Chotyier, SPLM Secretary and State Legal Advisor, and Hon. Lam Tunguar Kuicguong, State Minister of Land, Housing Public Utilities.
