South Africa: A man is in a critical condition after he suffered extensive burns during a house fire which broke out in Hazelmere – KZN. The incident took place in the afternoon hours of Monday leaving the suspect in a serious condition with severe injuries.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance in the later hours of the afternoon. The residents of the area discovered the single room house in a neighbourhood in Hazelmere engulfed in flames.
At this point, they alerted the officials who were dispatched immediately to assist the community, They arrived at the scene of the scene of the incident at approximately 19:37 in the evening,
The residents of the neighbourhood had managed to contain the fire till the first responders could arrive. The team of firefighters arrived at the scene shortly afterwards and extinguished the fire.
A man who resides alone in the house sustained extensive burns in the fire accident and has been transported to the Medical center for first aid by the police officers. The reaction unit has started an investigation into the fire accident.

Some witnesses claimed that the police had placed the injured victim in the back of the van and driven him to the hospital. Some people argued that the Reaction Unit should have been the ones to take the victim to the hospital.
However, another social media user clarified that the reaction officers are not allowed to take any passengers in the response vehicle. Meanwhile, the ambulance is also not always available as the first responders might be occupied somewhere else.
The people have extended their sincere hope that the victim recovers completely from his injuries. Meanwhile, speculations on the apparent cause of the fire breakout are ongoing among the people.
