South Africa: The Reaction Unit South Africa has recovered a white Isuzu bakkie from Ndwedwe, the vehicle was hijacked from Area 2 in Mhlasini. The officials have shared that they hijacked in the early hours of the afternoon on Friday.
The vehicle was recovered in the Ndwedwe area of KwaZulu-Natal a few hours later on Friday. The officials have shared the images of the recovered vehicle on social media.
Meanwhile, they also shared the details of the incident in a social media post. The officials have shared that they were informed of the vehicle hijack on Friday.
A man arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 16:01 requesting assistance. The victim informed Reaction Officers that he is employed at a hardware & cartage business.
He and his driver proceeded to Mhlasini – KZN after receiving a call from a man requesting their services to transport furniture.
The officers on arrival at the location that was provided to the officials, three men hijacked their vehicle. One suspect was armed with a firearm. The victims boarded a mini taxi. The driver proceeded to his place of employment while his colleague sought assistance from RUSA.
Reaction Officers obtained a tracking report from the victim’s employer. Officers mobilised to Ndwedwe – KZN. The bakkie was recovered abandoned on an unpaved road by Car Track.
The suspects removed several panels in search of the tracking unit. The car hijacking incidents have become a nuisance for the people of the country. Many incidents similar to the one presented have cropped up in various parts of the country in the past few months.
