The data presented by the World Happiness Report 2024 is a piece of collaborative information collected by Gallup, Oxford University and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The report was submitted after examining the various factors contributed to people’s happiness that, including age, inequality, social support and opportunities.

According to the report of 2024, the African countries were placed at the lowest numbers in the list. Libya was placed at 66th number, whereas South Africa, Algeria and Congo were placed at 83, 85 and 89.
Following them, Mozambique was placed at 90th, Gabon was placed at 95th, Ivory Coast, who recently hosted the AFCON-2023, was placed at 96th, and Guinea was placed at 97th.
99th, 102, 104, 106, 107 and 109 were allotted to Senegal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Namibia, Morocco and Niger, respectively.
Other countries of Africa which were placed below 100 are Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Gambia, Chad, Kenya, Tunisia, Benin, Uganda, Ghana, Liberia, Mali, Madagascar, Togo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Comoros.
Zambia, Eswatini, Malawi, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Congo, Sierra Leone and Lesotho are the nations which were also place after 100 and were considered as the least happy in the world.
The World Happiness Report is produced by the Unite Nations, which assesses global happiness levels using data primarily that was gathered from the Gallup World Poll.
The comprehensive survey depends on the evaluation of the respondents which are relatable to their own lives and gauge national happiness. The Gallup World Poll questionnaire considers 14 key areas of global significance.

Those significant areas are Business and Economics, Citizen Engagement, Communications and Technology, Diversity (in social issues), Education & Families, Emotions (in well-being), Environment & Energy.
Besides these areas, the World Happiness Report 2024 also includes categories such as Food & Shelter, Government and Politics, Law & Order (as safety), Health, Religion & Ethics, Transportation and Work.
As per the reports released in March 2024, Finland has been considered as the happiest country in the world and has obtained 7.804 points.
Finland was recognised as the happiest country for its top-tier education, healthcare and comprehensive well-being programs. Fostering strong social support, individual freedom and minimal corruption perceptions are the reasons which made it garb the position of the happiest place.

Following Finland, the European countries which won the top 10 positions are Denmark, Iceland, Israel, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand.
