Botswana: Teenage mother of twins in Kweneng District received assistance from aspiring pageanters and other district organizations. The organizations aimed to provide much needed support and encouragement to the youngster in need.
The following organizations donated food hampers and clothing items to the teenage mother:
- Miss Primary Schools Molepolole,
- Miss Junior Secondary Schools Molepolole
- They Too Deserve Love
- Kweneng District Council -KWDC
- Social & Community Development (S&CD) Kweneng
The beneficiary of the generous donation is a mother of twins who hails from Ntloedibe in Molepolole.
The donations were collaborative effort and contributions from the aspiring queens to the teenage mother in need. The organization came together to make this donation on Saturday November 25, 2023.
The handover ceremony for the food hampers was also attended by the Vice Chairperson of the Village Development Committee Kabaratile Mongalelwa. During this ceremony, she talked to the young girls encouraged them for their future ventures.
Further, the Vice Chairperson also thanked everyone who made efforts to give where there is need.
This joined effort from S&CD and the aspiring pageant Queens came at the right time. The benefactor brought clothing items as well. When handing the clothes over, the pageant director Jacqueline Metsemebedi spoke about the girls’ motivation.
She said, “It is not that they had more than enough to give but an edge from within that prompted them to do such a noble gesture.”
She also encouraged the teenage mother not to give up on her dreams. She encouraged her to nurture her kids with love and not to look only into negatives but look more into positives.
Further Metsemebedi noted that the pageantry is to help a girl child with platform to showcase their unique beauty, talent and intelligence. She lastly thanked all who contributed towards this gesture and encouraged the aspiring queens to do more.
The noble gesture of the girls is winning the hearts of all the people in Kweneng and the wider region. Many people on social media appreciated the gesture of the young girls and called them ready for the red carpet.
