South Africa: The Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, through the Sport and Recreation unit, will stage a vibrant National Recreation Day 2022.

The event, which will be attended by public servants from sector departments, different organizations and members of the community, will include a fun walk, Morabaraba, Kgati, Ncuva, Diketo, Tug of War, Bottle Race, Egg Race, Whoola Hoops, and Mass Aerobics.

The Department will join the rest of the country in staging this year’s edition of National Recreation Day, which is an annual event scheduled for the first Friday of October.

The Programme was established by the National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and aimed at encouraging all South Africans to actively participate in Recreational activities to improve their health and physical well-being in line with the Employee Health and Wellness Strategic Framework for the Public Service.

The DPSA recognizes the participation of employees in Recreational activities as one of the mechanisms employed to promote employee health and wellness and serve as a platform where employees from different organizations interact with each other socially and formally develop relations which are beneficial to the workplace.
