Homa-Bay, Kenya: 10 people were arrested for illegal preparation and smuggling of Illicit Brew. They were arrested from Homa-bay County, Kenya, on Monday, November 20, 2023.

In the wake of this incident, County Commissioner Moses Lilan started the Multi-Agency Security Operation in Nyambre Village at the River Rangwe earlier this week on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

The Homa-Bay County Security and Intelligence Security and local community members of the district led the operation with the county commissioner.

They helped the operation team in investigating and searching processes.

After a while, the team successfully spotted their area and reached with the team. During the encounter, the members found and seized 11,500 litres of kangara 1,000 litres of change and items used in the preparation and transportation of the illicit brew.

These suspects have been booked at Homa-Bay Police Station for processing to be presented in court this afternoon to plead to charges.

Reportedly, some other sources have revealed another aspect of the news. They have even tried to shape the credible information in their way and convicted something totally opposite to the facts.

It has been revealed that 30 people were found and arrested on the spot on Monday. They have also revealed that about 12,000 litres of items, including Kangara Illicit Brew, have been seized.

However, a local news site reported initially this week that the team seized 11,500 of the items. At the same time, ten people were also found and arrested from their area.

While in the reports, it has also been found that some of the people arrested from 10, were the local county members from Homa-Bay. The arrested people also found some young women, children and teens who were engaged in the activity.
