Zambia: The police force of Monze District has received a report of a break-in, Rape and Theft in Fairview Compound. The officials have shared that the incident was reported by the victim.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, and the report was made hours later. The investigations into the matter have started; however, the suspects have not been scoped out.
The identity of the victim has not been made public for privacy reasons. However, the officials have revealed that she is 34 years old. She revealed that two suspects, whose identity is not confirmed broke into her house.
Both the suspects raped her by turn and later stole her HP Laptop valued at K6,000.
Southern Province Police Commissioner Auxansio Daka confirmed the incident and shared some details about the incident.
According to the official reports, the incident happened on the 11th of February at 03:00 hours.
Daka reveals that the victim checked out of work the previous day around 17:00 hours and went back home to rest. He further reveals that the victim woke up at around 01:00 Hours to do her online meetings and studies on her Laptop.
Later, at around 03:00 Hours, the victim saw her bedroom door being opened by someone she did not identify. At this point, one of the suspects ordered her not to scream, or else she risked being killed.
Daka further discloses that the burglar then forced himself on the victim and raped her. At this point, the victim revealed that the first man’s accomplice entered the room.
He also rapéd her and stole the HP laptop, which was black in colour, and fled the scene. Daka reveals that no arrest or recovery has been made as investigations are ongoing.
Some social media users have shared their disappointment on the incident. They have condemned the suspects, calling them inhuman and unlawful.
