South Africa: A 44 year old Mozambican national was found dead in his room at a property on Trevenen Road in Lotusville – KZN in the afternoon hours of Tuesday. The report of the dead body was made in the late early afternoon hours of the day.
The body was discovered by a woman who eventually reported the matter to the Reaction Unit South Africa. The officials came to the property in Trevenen Road at approximately 1:30. After the team came, they met with the woman who had made the call.
She informed the reaction unit officers that she came to the property and found that the driveway had been locked when he got there. The officials have shared some images from the event on their social media account.
The people of the country have also come forward to extend their heartfelt condolences on the unfortunate death of the victim. The victim has left a suicide note in the wake of his death.
The official cause of the suicide has not been made official. The officials have shared that they believe the cause of the suicide to be related to mental health issues.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the premises in Lotusville – KZN at approximately 13:06. On arrival, Reaction Officers met with a female who stated that she arrived at the property and discovered the driveway gates locked.
The female climbed over the boundary wall after she was unable to get the man’s attention. He lived alone on the premises since the homeowner relocated.
She approached the outbuilding which was unlocked and found the deceased lying on the ground with a yellow nylon rope around his neck. A piece of the rope was also fastened to a wood rafter.
The woman could not confirm if the male was deceased and contacted RUSA for assistance. On arrival, RUSA Paramedics utilised a bolt cutter to gain entry into the yard with an ambulance. The male was pronounced deceased upon examination.
A suicide note written in Swahili was located in the room.
