Kenya: The Principal Secretary for Sports, Peter Tum hosted a meeting with the President of the Football Kenya Federation, Hussein Mohammad. The meeting was hosted for the aim of revitalizing the position of Football in the country.
The officials have shared that it is important for the sport to revive the interest of the investors and subsequently, bring more investments to the sports sector of Kenya. The meeting, hosted on Monday featured several important discussions regarding the field of sports.
The President of Football Kenya Federation, Hussein Mohammed met the Principal Secretary for Sports ahead of the CHAN 2024 Tournament. The tournament will be hosted in February 2025 and bring several football fans to Kenya.
The other major sports event that the State Department of Sports has to prepare for is AFCON 2027. The Football teams of Kenya have been represented well in the previous editions of the AFCON Tournament.
The Principal Secretary for Sports, Peter Tum said that it is the responsibility of the Football Kenya Federation to get the teams ready for both these events. The official understands that the responsibility that is being placed on the organization is immense.
