Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, has recently shared some glimpses from the Ocean’s Edge, located in Castle Comfort. The structure is among the major hotel developments underway in the country currently.
The prime minister was proud to announce that the development of this project is being completed with the help of the funds generated through the country’s Citizenship by Investment Programme. Prime Minister shared that his government has encouraged investment into the accommodation sector through Citizenship by Investment.
He was happy to observe that this project is going at a satisfactory pace and expected to bring an increased footfall of tourists to the island. The Prime Minister shared that the project is currently under construction and the construction is projected to be completed later in this year.
The Minister of Tourism in the Skerrit Led administration, Denise Charles-Pemberton led a tour to the construction site of the hotel. The stakeholders saw the progress of the Ocean’s Edge and shared their appreciation for the dedication of the Minister of Tourism.
The construction of the hotel will give a tremendous boost to the country’s tourism sector. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism officials were also very proud of the initiative they had taken.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stated that the hotel Ocean’s Edge will offer guests a luxury experience and the convenience of a five minute drive to the city of Roseau. He stated that the an ideal option for business and leisure travellers.
The initiative is being hailed by the people of the country, who took to their social media to share their appreciation for the administration’s efforts to develop the country. Notably, the Citizenship by Investment programme of Dominica has supported several developmental initiatives of the country.
The CBI programme has been helping the administration of small island states like Dominica to become self sufficient in developing their infrastructural capacity. The funds generated from the programme have helped small island states reduce their dependency on foreign aids and loans.
