Dominica: Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit wished Happy New Year to the citizens living here and across the world. As they enter the year 2026, he greeted all peace, prosperity and pride in the beautiful island.
Dr. Skerrit said that as the New Year is here, he extended warm greetings to one and all and urged to continue build a resilient and united Dominica. He thanked the diaspora for making contributions and helping them in progressing. He wished joy, health and success in the coming year ahead.
The Government of Dominica has remained committed to create opportunities for them through education, skills training, entrepreneurship and meaningful employment so that thrive quickly and efficiently.
PM Skerrit further stated that as they look ahead to the year 2026, they desire optimism and a commitment to resolving long-standing issues. The upcoming year is anticipating continued investments, further considering the reforms and renewed focus on improving the quality of life for people of Dominica.
He added that there will be challenges and they face them together, staying united, resilient and confident in the shared destiny.
While entering into the New Year, Prime Minister Skerrit expressed faith in themselves and in the country. He urged to strengthen the bonds that unite them and extend kindness where it is needed. He said that there is a need to recommit themselves to build a Dominica that takes everyone along with them and leaves no one behind.
Prime Minister Skerrit further stated that on the behalf of his family and the Government of Dominica he wishes everyone a holy, peaceful and joyous New Year. He assured all that the year 2026 is going to be filled with health, hope, prosperity and blessings of God.
He prayed that may God continue to bless them and the nature island Commonwealth of Dominica.
He also explained regarding the ongoing projects which are progressing steadily and responsibly. As it provided employment to hundreds of Dominicans and laid the foundation for long-term economic growth and opportunity for the young people.
