St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew expressed his condolences and mourns with India following the Terrorist Attacks. On the behalf of the Government and people of the Federation, he strongly condemns the recent terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam, situated in Jammu and Kashmir.
Considering the recent attack on tourists in India, PM Drew has shared a note on his official X handle, where he expressed his sadness over this cruelty. In his note he stated that the twin island nation ‘St. Kitts and Nevis’ joins the international community in denouncing the senseless act of violence. He added that they are with India and mourns the lives lost, as a result of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Drew clearly presents his intentions while expressing himself and stated that the St. Kitts and Nevis stand in full solidarity with the Government and people of India during this time of sorrow. With his note he represented that they support India and strictly condemns this act of brutality.
What Happened?
The fire raged when almost two-dozens of people were killed after gunmen did open firing on a group of domestic tourists who were visiting the popular beaty spot in Indian-administered place Kashmir. The terrorists attacked Pahalgam, which is a picturesque town in the Himalayan which is often described as the ‘Switzerland of India’.
Considering the barbarity, Chief Minister of J&K – Omar Abdullah said that the attack was much larger than anything that they have seen directed at civilians in recent years. As per the reports, there are a large number of wounded people and some were found in critical condition.
About Pahalgam
Jammu and Kashmir is the top-most Union Territory of India in the North. Pahalgam is a hill-station in J&K, where mountain trails run towards north-east to holy Amarnath Cave Temple. The temple is a Hindu shrine and site of the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage.
