St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew visited the Southern University and A&M College – Baton Rouge, LA. The aim of the visit was to try and give the students in the country the opportunity to access better tertiary education opportunities.
While in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, PM Terrance Drew talked to the management of the university to discuss collaborative opportunities. He took to his social media to share some glimpses from the visit on his social media.
The Prime Minister said that they have been able to negotiate more educational opportunities for students of St Kitts and Nevis. They have talked about getting full and partial scholarships for the most deserving students of the country.
The officials have shared that they are dedicated to ensuring that the students have all the best opportunities available for them. The officials have shared that it is important for the leaders to geet the future generations ready to meet the challenges of the modern world.
The officials have added that their goal is to provide affordable educational opportunities to the students. The Prime Minister and his team want to make sure that citizens are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century and create pathways to success.
The Prime Minister gave the credit of the meeting’s success to Dr. Hadiya Claxton. The Special Envoy for Investment, Development, and International Business Relations was also present at the meeting.
He also took the opportunity to thank the leadership of Southern University. The Government of St Kitts and Nevis is happy to take all the steps for the success of this collaboration as it would help them meet their goals.
