St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew received a courtesy call from a two-member delegation from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. The representatives of the university met with the members of the made a courtesy visit to the Federal Cabinet.
The delegation included Dr. Alice Aiken, Vice President of Research and Innovation, and Dr. Rustum Southwell, University Chancellor. Dr Southwell is also a native of St. Kitts and Nevis and the first Black Chancellor of Dalhousie University.
The Prime Minister said that he was proud to welcome the Members of the university for the meeting. He also gave Dr. Rustum Southwell, University Chancellor a warm welcome to his homeland.
The meting was attended by several high level officials from the government of St Kitts and Nevis, including the members of the Prime Minister Office. The Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia has ben looking into ways to enter into a mutually beneficial collaboration with the government of St kitts and Nevis.
The officials have shared that the meeting is the initial steep towards the development of the education sector of the nation. The collaboration between the Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia , Canada and St kitts and Nevis will help several youngsters to get access to quality access to tertiary education.
The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and his Cabinet shared several images from the event on their social media. The Prime Minister said that the meeting was a part of the series of collaborative efforts that the two organizations are working towards.
During the visit, the delegation discussed opportunities for closer partnerships and collaboration between St. Kitts and Nevis and the University. These initiatives aim to benefit the Federation, particularly in our goal to become a Sustainable Island State.
The officials have shared that Canada has been a significant partner of the nation and has supported the nation in several endeavours. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has appreciated the organization for taking the step to discuss collaboration.
The people of the community have also extended their support and appreciation for the success of the  organization
