The construction projects that are being taken up include:
A modern clinic and a staff house at Hachibozu Health Post. The structures will be constructed in the Mutuba Ward
The officials have shared that the cost of the construction will be about 1.6 Million Kwacha. Further the construction of a staff house at Dambwe Rural Clinic will be done with the budget of more than 700 000 Kwacha in Sinadambwe ward of Siavonga District.
The community is delighted to have access to these new facilities with the help of the the government backed CDF. The officials have shared that the Constituency Development Fund has been judiciously used in several developers projects.
The infrastructure projects have been handed over to the community at Hachibozu village in Mutuba ward, Siavonga Member of Parliament Darius Mulunda says the new clinic and staff house aim to enhance healthcare delivery.
Member of Parliament, Mulunda said the project reflects President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration’s focus on improving citizens’ lives through strategic investment initiatives in health and other critical health needs.
Earlier, Siavonga Town Council Chairperson Given Kwapu had asserted that the council is committed to community development, highlighting collaborative planning, transparency, and responsiveness to local needs.
Meanwhile, Geoffrey Jakopo, who serves as the Siavonga District Commissioner has promised that the government is committed to improving the lives of people through the enhanced allocation of CDF.
The CDF is one of the most successful government funds which has helped countless communities get access to the right facilities.
Siavonga Town Council Secretary Kennedy Shombo called the construction of the infrastructure projects as a milestone. He noted that they are a reflection of the government’s commitment to decentralisation. With the development of infrastructure in all parts of the country, the power is equally distributed among the people and leaders across the nation.
