Ethiopia: Ethiopian Airlines has been recognized as Africa’s Best Airline for the year 2025. The airline has won this consecutively for 8 years in a row by SKYTRAX at the 2025 World Airline Awards.
Along with the title of ‘Best Airline in Africa’ Ethiopian Airlines also awarded for:
- Best Economy Class in Africa
- Best Business Class in Africa
- Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Africa
Adding to this top regional honour, RwandAir was named as Africa’s Best Regional Airline and EgyptAir was named as Africa’s Best Airline Staff.

The announcement for the title winner was made during a prestigious ceremony that was held at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport, where the global airlines were recognized for the excellence in service, innovation and customer satisfaction.
These prestigious accolades mark the unwavering commitment of Ethiopian Airlines to delivering world-class service and its strategic investments in fleet modernization, innovation and sustainability. The honor also reflects the consistent focus of the airline on enhancing the customer experience and operational excellence across its expansive network of over 140 international destinations.
