Cape Town Air Access extended its greetings to the Airports Company South Africa’s (ACSA) Cape Town International Airport, which has been recognized as the Best Airport in Africa. CTAA is powered by Wesgro and congratulated CTIA for being honored at the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2025 that marked an incredible win for the 10th consecutive year.
Reportedly, CTIA also secured the title for Best Airport Staff Service in Africa for the 5th year running. These awards signify CTIA’s exceptional service, that is further solidifying its position as a leading global aviation hub.
As per the sources, for over three million two-way international passengers were recorded in 2024 that is 10% up from 2023. CTIA recorded a 25% growth in Air Cargo volumes in year 2024 in comparison to the records received in 2023. CTIA continues to play a pivotal role in connecting Cape Town and the Western Cape to the world.
South Africa’s aviation industry is soaring to new heights, as along with Cape Town International Airport, King Shaka International Airport was also recognized as the best airport in the world. The accolades were awarded at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards which was held in April 09, 2025 during the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Madrid, Spain.
It is a prestigious award that are based on customer satisfaction surveys conducted across more than 575 airports in 100 countries, with passengers who evaluated various aspects of their travel experiences, including check-in, shopping, security and overall comfort.
