South Africa: The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrest the suspects for illegal possession of Drugs and Firearms. The police inspectors have arrested the two suspects on two separate occasions in Malmesbury and Milnerton for illegal possession, last weekend.
Reportedly, cops of the Malmesbury police have arrested an adult male for the illegal possession of a firearm in Langa Libalala Street on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
The apprehension of the culprit was followed by a call, through which the police received information regarding the crime happened, that the suspect was involved in a business robbery and was also the one invloved in the possession of firearms, at the mentioned address.
An investigation for the search of the premises was conducted. In the investigation a 9mm pistol and ammunition were confiscated, with the suspect to appear in the Malmesbury Magistrates’ Court, as once he has been charged.
Later, the members of the Milnerton Crime Prevention Unit have arrested a foreign national individual, aged 38. After he was caught on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the evening with the drugs in Rugby, Milnerton.
As per the sources, the members responded to the information which involves the drugs that were being sold at an address in Husser Road and a search ensued of the recognised premises.
Furthermore, Mandrax tablets, crystal meth and an ‘undisclosed amount of cash’ which is believed to be the beginning and proceeding of the crime were confiscated by the Crime Prevention Unit members in the room.
Following this the suspects faces a charge of dealing in drugs, imposed by the legal magistrate of South Africa. Moreover, the suspected criminals were asked to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the case of drug dealing charges.
Many such cases have been reported before too, to the South African Polics Service, due to which the officials are now concerned towards the safety and security of the citizens. To tighten the security of the residents the cops have become active and vigilant so any such crime can be avoided from occurring.
