Botswana: Officials of the Ipelegeng Skills Development Component have hailed the beneficiaries for the success of the ISDC projects in Tonota District. The Officials from ISDC took the opportunity to visit the currently ongoing extention project at the Mandunyane Clinic.
The Tonota District Council shared glimpses from the visit on their social media account. The visit was considered an important step to encourage the ISDC beneficiaries to perform well.
The officials have revealed that during the trip, they would get the opportunity to interact with the members engaged in the project. The officials can gain skills and exchange ideas on undertaking ISDC projects with Tonota District ISDC beneficiaries.
The event was attended by several officials from the Tonota District Council. The officials want to ensure that the extention project for the Mandunyane Clinic can be concluded successfully.
Important members of the delegation included, Ipelegeng Coordinator from Sowa Town Council, Lucy Spickson. She delivered a brief address at the event where she appreciated the pace of the work.
She said that their visit was motivated by the impression they got after seeing the Mandunyane project in Tonota District. She said they were impressed by the commitment and dedication the Tonota beneficiaries had towards their work.
Accordingly, the officials believed that their students needed to be brought along to learn from and be motivated by their counterparts. She said she hopes they will achieve better results after the benchmark exercise.
Speaking at the occasion, Eunice Mapolelo, also talked about the significance of the ISDC. She claimed that the programme is crucial as it has long-term benefits.
She also added that after the project is completed, the beneficiaries will be awarded certificates of completion. These certificates will help them access better opportunities in the future.
Area Councillor, Lepate Tshomane encouraged all beneficiaries to continue working together, take their work seriously and acquire more skills from each other. He also urged them to consider forming their own companies after completing the training.
