Cape Town: A motorbike driver was hit by train near the Steenberg Station, on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in the morning.
Reportedly, a CCTV footage related to the incident has been shared on social media and shows that the motorcyclist is hesitating at the crossing before moving forward and leading to the rear end of the motorcycle which is being hit by an oncoming train.
Also, an additional video footage of the accident has been released, that shows bystanders, attending to the driver, who was found lying on the ground nearby.
It was believed that the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, although the exact condition of the individual has not been confirmed yet.
The incident has been reported to the South African Police Services (SAPS), as soon as the information was received.
