Cape Town: The official Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, ‘Wesgro’ aims to focus on Youth Empowerment at CTICC 2025 Expo.
Reportedly, Wesgro is committed to strengthening the talent pipeline in Cape Town and the Western Cape. As a part of this mission, they proudly participated in the 3rd Annual Youth in Action Expo, for the year 2025 hosted by the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
The two-day event has brought together 170 exhibitors and featured a range of innovative and inspiring programmes that is focused on career guidance and educational opportunities. The Wesgro team at 2025 Youth in Action Expo grabbed the opportunity to showcase the diverse career paths and initiatives available across the broader region.
As Youth Month draws to a close, this expo served as a powerful platform to connect with the future leaders who will drive innovation and economic growth in the province.
Youth in Action Expo 2025
The latest edition of Youth in Action Expo was a dynamic two-day event that took place in Cape Town with an objective of connecting young people with real opportunities for growth, development and meaningful employment.
Youth in Action Expo 2025 brought together academic institutions, corporate employers and organizations that provide education, career guidance, and job prospects for youth. Most importantly, the event prioritizes inclusion on welcoming learners from marginalized communities and lower quintile schools, tertiary students from across the province, and individuals with disabilities.
The expo clearly aims to create platform where young people particularly the ones from underserved backgrounds and those living with disabilities can gain exposure to career pathways and connect with supportive organizations and access vital educational and employment opportunities.
Furthermore, the organizers of the event are also calling on organizations with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive employment practices to join the collective effort.
Key Objectives of Youth in Action Expo 2025
Youth in Action Expo 2025 was organized with a motto like its previous editions. This year it decided to connect youth with institutions and organizations offering training, bursaries, internships, and job opportunities.
The expo promoted equitable access to information and resources, especially for learners, especially from rural and disadvantaged areas. This encourages investment in youth development and inclusive hiring from both corporate and public sectors.
