Over the last month, the Edu Invest project has delivered meaningful impact with:
- Early Childhood Development Roundtable:
They brought together the policy experts, investors and practitioners to focus on opportunities in the ECD sector. The discussions highlighted that 80% of the funding targets Grade R, leaving children under age five under-resourced and reinforced the impact of collaborative investment.
- SA EdTech Week 2025:
At the Investor and Founder Breakfast, Wesgro connected entrepreneurs, funders and ecosystem enablers. They demonstrated how measurable outcomes and strong partnerships drive private sector investment in education technology.
- World Investment Conference 2025:
Induction of Wesgro into WAIPA expanded the global network, while the recognition and invitation of Edu Invest to be presented next year, and underscores rising international interest in education investment.
- MENA Education Investment Conference & GESS 2025:
In Dubai, Wesgro deepened investor and partner engagements, including meetings with KPMG and the SA Business Chamber. It positioned the Western Cape as talent-rich, investment-ready destination for education.
- Literacy Hub Launch:
Working with Chuma Primary School, amplify5, Mellon Educate SA and teh Western Cape Education Department, Wesgro supported the launch of a new Literacy Hub that strengthens learning infrastructure and equips communities with future-ready skills.
