The Zimbabwe government has invested money into the Independence Gala, which will be hosted soon on April 18, 2024, in Murambinda town, Buhera. The Independence Gala will mark the 44th year of the nation’s sovereignty and will celebrate the cultural legacy of Zimbabwe.
The theme for 2024 Independence Gala will be “Zim@44: Unity, Peace and Development Towards Vision 2030” and will embrace the devolution and decentralisation of economic development from the capital city to the peripheries of the country.
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Buhera is expected to increase after the event as permanent structures will be left for the locals.
The nearby areas of Murambinda town, Buhera were improved for the historic occasion through various infrastructure projects and improved roads.
So many firms are going to display themselves during the Independence Celebrations as per their anticipation the business will be brisk at the Independence Gala.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister – Dr Jenfan Muswere, after the Cabinet Briefing has said that the gala is going to be a game changer for the people of the town, as people from all over the ten (10) provinces of the country are going to descend on the district.

Minister Muswere added to his statement, “Cabinet wishes to inform the nation that significant preparatory works for the 2024 Independence Anniversary Celebrations and Children’s Party were arranged at the venue and on road infrastructure leading to the venues of the events.”
The roads that led to the venues of the events were: the Murambinda-Birchenough Bridge, the Chivhu-Nyazura, Mushandirapamwe-Wedza, Wedza-Mutiweshri, Marange Shrine, Gutu-Matimba and Gutu-Kurai and other roads, mentioned Dr Muswere.
The Murambinda Town Centre in Buhera District is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host the annual Independence Gala.
The festivities will honour the strides made since independence while casting an eye towards a future of unity and progress.
The gala event will also feature a Children’s Party that will offer young ones from across Zimbabwe the unique opportunity to meet with President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
Independence Gala 2024 will reflect on the musical concert of the year 2023 that was held at the Pfura Stadium in Mashonaland Central.
Considering this Dr Muswere said, “A Business Exhibition Programme for all Local Authorities, youths, women, Ministeries, Departments and Agencies, small businesses, local and from outside the province, will be running along the 2024 Independence Anniversary Celebrations.”
“The platform will accord the exhibitors an opportunity to showcase the achievement in business, covering the period since the attainment of independence in 1980,” added the minister.
The event will feature the stage performances by Sandra Ndebele, DJ Fantan, DT Bio Mudimba, Andy Muridzo, Jah Master, Nicholas Zacharia, Big Boy Motsi, Mathias Mhere, Agartha Murudzwa, Chief Hwenje, Takura, Diana Samkange and Simon Mutambe. The gala will also consider the presenters Kanyemba Bonzo, Philip Makazhu, Thabani Gambiza and Kessia.
The 44th Independence Gala will be held at Murambida B Primary School. The school’s principal and director in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services mentioned that everything is set for the gala.
