South Africa: Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba has thanked all the medical and dental specialists volunteers and all healthcare workers who were supporting them as they volunteered their services during the week long rural health matters campaign, which was held in the Capricorn District hospitals.

South Africa: Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba has thanked all the medical and dental specialists volunteers and all healthcare workers who were supporting them as they volunteered their services during the week long rural health matters campaign, which was held in the Capricorn District hospitals.

The Capricorn District Rural Health Matters outreach program was a great success as they unveiled the cancer screening tools for community healthcare workers on breast cancer, cervical, and prostate and were able to conduct 191 operations commutatively in a space of 7 days under the following disciplines:

Orthopedics = 30
General Surgery = 21
ENT = 14
Paeds Surgery = 28
Ophthalmology Surgery = 50
Obstetrics & Gynaecology Surgery = 23
Urology Surgery = 8
Maxillofacial Surgery = 17
Grand Total = 191

NB. The next stop of the rural health matters outreach program will be in the Vhembe District from the 21st of November, 2022.
