The residents of Langalibalele, Inanda – KZN, heard a series of shots coming from one of the houses in the area. The incident resulted in the death of 5 men. The incident took place before midnight on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The residents of the neighbouring houses are called the members of the Reactions Unit South Africa.
One of the callers also shared a WhatsApp PIN location to the scene. The members of the Reaction Unit responded shortly afterwards. They visited the crime scene and spoke to the people who had contacted them. On the team’s arrival, they found the Inanda SAPS at the crime scene.
The Inanda SAPS are also investigating the matter. As per the information received from both sources, the incident resulted in the death of five victims. The suspects shot the men in the head, whose identity is unknown. The police officials have recovered all five bodies of the victims.
Out of these, two victims were recovered under the bed in the house’s bedroom. Two Victims’ body was found in the bathroom, and one victim was found in the kitchen. The gunshots sounded at 11:23 PM, which alerted the other residents of the area.
The investigators believe that the victims were between the ages of 26 to 35. They were in the house together at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, further reports have also revealed that the suspects shot a woman who lived around 30 meters from the crime scene.
The police officials believe the suspects went to the woman’s house first. They shot her in the arm before proceeding to the boys’ house. Here, he shot all five men in the head before escaping the scene.
The investigation into the motive for the shooting is ongoing. Meanwhile, the people of KZN have expressed their horror about the shooting incident. One of the social media users, Suriasha Balwantha, expressed sympathy for the deceased victims.
