Cape Town: Tourism Month begins in the city. MMC for Economic Growth and Tourism, James Vos officially kicked off the month at the Tygerberg Nature Reserve, which is one of the most spectacular vantage points of Cape Town.
From Tygerberg Nature Reserve, the visitors can view the whole Cape Town city from the Cape Flats to Table Mountain. They can view the New Seven Wonders of Nature and the Robben Island.
Tygerberg is home to the last remnants of critically endangered Swartland Shale Renosterveld, who are like long lost treasure for both visitors and the residents.
Vos said that he selected Tygerberg for a very personal reason. He said that it’s right in his own backyard in the northern suburbs. He conveyed to Capetonians that it is simple to explore their backyard. They have discovered what is close to them and supported the local businesses, along with homegrown enterprises in their community. Also, they will experience the gems that are often right around the corner.
It’s their authentic way to keep tourism alive in Cape Town. They want to make sure that the city is inclusive and accessible and the benefits flow through every influencing circle.
