Cape Town opens submission of Vendor applications for My Cape Town Market Scottsdene. The event will be observed on Saturday, Dec 06, 2025 and Sunday, Dec 07, 2025.
Reportedly, the vendor’s applications will close on Friday, Oct 31, 2025. The market will be located on the corner of Joseph Avenue and Buiten Crescent (Joseph Avenue Park).
The new market aims to be a celebration of community, culture and creativity. Also, vendors who produce delicious food, handmade crafts and other unique goods are urged to submit their applications.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth – Alderman James Vos said that the City of Cape Town is excited to bring My Cape Town Market to Scottsdene. Not just these markets are fun, but these are enriching events that brings community together. Such occasions also open up important economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs and traders.
whereas, Alderman Grant Twigg, the ward councillor for Ward-07 stated that the small business owners in the community can apply to be part of the market.
Notably, the My Cape Town Market is coming to Scottsdene for the first time and is wonderful opportunity for the local entrepreneurs and residents to come together, showcase the creativity and support local businesses.
He encouraged all small business owners and traders in the ward to apply and be part of this exciting event. They hope this is something that they can build on for the future.
Applications for trading at the market are open now, with each trading bay costing R78.00 per bay/per day for the duration of the market.

At the Kraaifointein Office, Kraaifontein Civic, Brighton Road, the applications will be received between 09:00 a.m. and 03:00 p.m. on weekdays. At the sub-council offices, 87 Brighton Way, Kraaifontein, 7570, between 09:00 a.m. and 03:00 p.m. on weekdays.
At the Area Economic Development offices, 1st floor, 44 Wale Street, Cape Town, between 09:00 a.m. and 03:00 p.m. on weekdays.
The closing date for digital and hard copy applications is Friday, 31 October 2025 at 03:00 p.m. Note that space is limited, and trading opportunities will be granted to those who meet the selection criteria.
